Facilities Maintenance

Location: Olive Branch, MS, USA - 8313 Polk Lane

Shift: Monday-Friday 6AM-2:45PM

Note: OT mandatory if required. Shift subject to change based on needs of the business. Emergencies in the building may cause slight shift changes or overtime.

Job Summary:

McKesson's temperature controlled automated Distribution Center in Olive Branch is currently hiring for a Facilities Maintenance Representative This is a chance to work for a company that touches virtually every aspect of healthcare. This entry level position would allow the individual to advance their career in the facilities/maintenance team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supports facilities staff by performing maintenance duties such as maintenance of office equipment, and computer systems, electrical projects, light construction

  • Partners with outside contractors and vendors on facilities and equipment repairs

  • General maintenance, troubleshooting and operations maintenance for all equipment used in facility

  • Utilizes work order system

  • Develops an overall maintenance schedule based on the requirements of each device

  • Maintains robotics and other business automation

  • Maintains conveyor equipment

  • Adjust tension of belts and chains

  • Other tasks as assigned by supervisor to support the overall efficiency of the DC

Minimum Requirement:

  • Typically requires 1+ years of related experience

Additional Skills:

  • 1 year of experience in facilities or maintenance in a warehouse or distribution center. Exposure to trades (millwright, electrical, etc.) would be considered a strong asset

  • Exposure to electrical with the ability to measure voltage and current accurately and safely and to use this data to troubleshoot circuits

  • Exposure to automated facilities with experience working/troubleshooting complex conveyor systems

  • Mechanical experience with aligning bearings, shafts, and drives

  • Experience working with contractors/vendors and scheduling preventative maintenance

  • Experience with troubleshooting network systems, cabling, and I/O devices with the ability to analyze cards and chips and replace if necessary

  • Able to configure and troubleshoot IBM compatible computers

  • Power Equipment (Forklift and/or Reach Truck) experience is preferred; location is willing to train, but, must be able to maintain certifications

  • Basic mechanical troubleshooting and repair experience with a variety of different equipment used in a distribution center environment

  • Knowledge and safe usage of various types of equipment in maintenance/facility trade (hand and power tools)

  • May be asked to assist with janitorial duties

  • Positive team member who is able to partner with varying internal and external members

  • Organized, self directed with the ability to prioritize in a fast paced environment

  • Safety conscious

Physical Requirements (some or all may apply):

  • Ability to perform lifting (weight varies based on product).

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs.

  • Includes standing, sitting, walking, general labor, ladder, scissor lift & fork truck use, climbing up to (4) story heights in a warehouse environment.

  • May include working in refrigerated areas at times

  • May include working in small spaces at times

$17.40 - $29.00
