The Senior Clinical Administrative Coordinator partners with the clinical team to support essential administrative functions responsible for partnering with the clinical team to take on administrative tasks such as the daily processing of the hospitalization report, that includes admission and discharges from ICUE notifications, clinician assignments and monitoring the market mailbox. The role involves executing information from reports and processing it according to specific guidelines for the market. The role allows members to receive timely coordination of services. This is a fast-paced, high-volume environment which emphasizes teamwork. The role is virtual, where you can work from your home.

This position is full-time Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00am - 6:00pm EST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.

We offer 3 weeks of paid training. The hours during training will be 8:00am to 4:30pm, training will be conducted virtually from your home

Primary Responsibilities:



  • Manage Optum at home hospitalization reporting and clinical assignments
  • Daily work activities include working the Hospitalization Report from SharePoint, pivoting to quality assurance reporting and completing clinical assignments from SharePoint
  • Follow policies and procedures aligned with regulatory and organizational standards
  • Accurately documents pertinent information regarding admission and discharge information from the hospitalization report
  • Identifies gaps in workflow from initial admission/discharge report,
  • Recognize that quality is a core component of all work performed
  • Navigate and operate multiple technology platforms efficiently
  • Maintains confidential health information in compliance with state and federal regulations, including HIPAA

Required Qualifications:



  • High School Diploma / GED OR equivalent work experience
  • Must be 18 years of age OR older
  • 1+ year of healthcare experience and/or social work
  • 1+ year gathering and organizing medical records
  • Work experience using Microsoft Word (edit, create & save documents), Microsoft Excel (sorting and filtering data) and Microsoft Outlook (email, folders, attachments and calendaring)
  • Must have capability to work from home (dedicated workspace, high-speed internet available in the area, and able to hardwire to a modem). Must be willing to work in the local office if/when system or internet issues occur.
  • Ability to work full-time Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00am - 6:00pm EST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.



Telecommuting Requirements:



  • Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
  • Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy.
  • Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service.

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $20.00 - $35.72 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
