- Provides safe, compassionate and focused nursing care to individual patients with predictable health care needs
- Assists, contributes and participates in the nursing process by performing a focused assessment on individual patients over the telephone to collect data and gather information
- Reports and documents the assessment information and changes in patient conditions to an appropriate clinical supervisor or clinician via telephone or tasking procedures in the EMR
- Uses clinical reasoning based on established evidence-based policies, procedures and guidelines for decision-making
- Implements aspects of the nursing care plan over the telephone, including emergency interventions under the direction of an appropriate clinical supervisor
- Over the telephone, contributes to the development and implementation of teaching plans for patients and their families with common health problems and well-defined health needs
- Participates in evaluating effectiveness of nursing interventions
- Acts as a float in the call taking areas facilitating clinical questions for non-clinical personnel, while also participating in scheduling internal and external referrals, office appts., lab and other diagnostic testing
- Prepare patients by answering questions over the phone regarding examinations and treatments
- Perform phone assessments to determine the patient level of care needed. The patient may be able to supply values such as (i.e. weight, blood pressure, medical history, health maintenance and chief complaint) to aid in the telephonic assessment. All information obtained will be documented as an phone message into the patient's EMR records
- Scans all referral letters, progress notes and diagnostic results into patient's EMR per clinical protocol and tasks providers for review and sign-off per protocol
- Prioritize and process telephone and email messages... as well as medication refill requests, from patients and provide feedback and answers to patient/provider/pharmacy per physician protocol. Assignment of tasks to physicians, associate providers and clinical staff accordingly
- Capture, document, and authorize non-narcotic maintenance dosed medications in accordance with clinical standards and physician orders
- Perform other duties as assigned

- Graduate from an accredited program for professional nursing education
- Current, unrestricted RN License in the State of Nevada
- 1+ years of professional nursing experience in an Acute or Primary Care setting
- 1+ years of Clinical Triage Nursing experience
- Basic computer knowledge and aptitude
Preferred Qualifcations:
- Bachelor or Masters of Science in Nursing preferred (BSN/MSN)
- 3+ years of professional nursing experience in an Acute or Primary Care setting
- 3+ years of Clinical Triage Nursing experience
- Electronic health record experience
- Customer service experience, experience in a call center environment
- Oncology experience
Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $58,800 to $105,000 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
