JOB OVERVIEW:

Blue Diamond Growers-the world's largest almond company and a cooperative owned by nearly 3,000 farming families-is seeking a Marketing Manager -Sustainability & Ingredients to lead global business strategies. This role will be responsible for positioning sustainable service offerings, driving demand, and accelerating growth across value-added ingredient sales. The successful candidate will champion Blue Diamond's sustainability story to create customer value and strengthen strategic relationships.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Working with agencies, develop and execute multi-channel, performance-focused marketing campaigns across paid, owned, and earned media for almond ingredients.
  • Partner with Sr. Manager to integrate sustainability into ingredient business's value proposition. Oversee integrated marketing plans that embed sustainability as a competitive advantage.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in sustainability-related customer-facing meetings. Coordinate cross-functional responses to customer sustainability surveys and inquiries to ensure effective communication and resolution.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders on competitive analysis related to ingredient sustainability.
  • Manage trade shows and other marketing events, including pre-show promotion, booth messaging, sponsorship, and post-event lead management.
  • Plan, launch, and optimize advertising initiatives across digital and trade marketing channels.
  • Lead social media strategy with a focus on LinkedIn for B2B engagement and thought leadership.
  • Build and manage a robust content calendar to support demand generation and awareness on the ingredient brand, products, and sustainability.
  • Manage marketing automation and CRM tool to support lead generation and nurturing programs.
  • Optimize email drip campaigns to move leads through the marketing funnel.
  • Measure, analyze, and report on campaign effectiveness-track KPIs such as traffic, conversion rates, engagement, and ROI.
  • Secure editorial coverage, press opportunities, and advertorial placements. Identify opportunities to support sustainability ratings and rankings for Blue Diamond Growers and deliver them to internal stakeholders.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 5 years in marketing or related work experience, with at least 3 years experience within sustainability and/or environmental science
  • Knowledge of environmental science and practices related to agriculture
  • Functional capabilities in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel
  • Strong written communication skills

Total minimum number of years of experience required in lieu of degree

  • 10 years of marketing and/or sustainability experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES

  • Knowledge of almond cultural practices, marketing trends, tendencies and procedures.
  • Master's of Business Administration (MBA) degree
  • Business-to-business (B2B) customer experience
  • Familiarity with sustainability principles and concepts
  • Food or consumer products marketing experience
  • Experience commercializing sustainability products or solutions
  • Experience contributing to value proposition development
  • Public speaking experience
  • Graphic design skills
