Position Summary:
Schwickert's Tecta America is seeking an experienced
HVAC & Plumbing Project Manager to join our growing team. In this role, you'll be the driving force behind projects from start to finish, reviewing plans, bidding jobs, and managing awarded projects to successful completion. You'll collaborate with general contractors, vendors, suppliers, and customers while working closely with the Superintendent and project team. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and track sales leads while promoting department services. Partner with other departments to strengthen collaboration.
- Oversee production efforts and ensure the highest quality standards are met.
- Estimate job costs, prepare proposals, and present them for review.
- Manage projects to meet schedule, budget, and quality goals, ensuring efficient close-out.
- Build long-term strategies for departmental growth.
- Purchase materials and manage inventory effectively.
- Handle billing, approve invoices, and coordinate with payroll for project labor.
- Resolve client concerns and past-due accounts in a professional manner.
- Protect company resources by maintaining equipment, vehicles, and compliance with policies.
- Track and control labor and material costs for all jobs.
- Set up and manage individual projects, including invoicing for contract and time & material work.
- Collaborate with prime and subcontractors on schedules, change orders, submittals, and quality control.
- Lead daily production efforts to maximize project revenue.
- Support field personnel through effective customer relations.
- Review purchase orders, contracts, and proposals to ensure compliance and scope alignment.
Qualifications:
Education/Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
- 3+ years of experience managing mechanical HVAC and plumbing/piping projects strongly preferred.
- Equivalent combinations of education and relevant experience will be considered.
Skills and Abilities
- Strong ability to read and interpret complex instructions, drawings, and contracts.
- Proven communication skills-written, verbal, and in presentations-with customers, vendors, and subcontractors.
- Bi-lingual skills a plus.
- Ability to calculate figures, percentages, and apply basic algebra/geometry to real-world situations.
- Proficient in project estimating software, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Access.
- Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.

Compensation:
Starting pay ranges from
$60,000-$90,000+ plus commission, based on experience and qualifications.
