Your Team, Your Impact

The Optical Design and Engineering group, part of the core Data Canter Engineering team, reporting to the President, Data Center Group, will be responsible for all aspects of engineering design and transfer to production of advanced optics products for next-generation data center and AI market segments.

What You Can Expect

  • Good background in high-speed optical devices such as laser, detectors, modulators and integrated optical components, especially high speed linear integrated components.
  • Familiar with the use of optical and electronic modeling and simulation software to model and design optical transmission systems. Familiarity with higher order PAM transmission format is required.
  • Hands-on product development experience with 2.5D/3D optical-electronic integration techniques.
  • Familiarity with and working knowledge of the supplier eco-system for highly integrated opto-electronic components and modules.
  • Ability to work in an integrated, global team environment.
  • Ability to work with a large body of data and the necessary statistical analysis tools, develop models to analyze the data and the ability to present the data and ideas to a diverse audience.

What We're Looking For

Distinguished Engineer, will possess 15+ years professional experience reflective of a strong high-speed optics and module design and management expertise. The successful candidate must have a proven record of leading module engineering teams at speeds beyond 100G and have successfully placed products into volume production. The successful candidate should have a track record of building a design team. Technical Description

  • Design of optical modules at speeds 100G and above

  • Experience in managing multiple teams at multiple locations

  • Proven Technical Leadership

Requirements:

  • Bachelors, Masters or PhD with minimum 15+ years of experience (or equivalent) in optical modules

  • Successful track record of design and taking high-speed optical modules and compact sub-systems to high volume production.

  • Highly effective communication and presentation.

Expected Base Pay Range (USD)

203,900 - 305,500, $ per annum

The successful candidate's starting base pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location and market conditions. The expected base pay range for this role may be modified based on market conditions.
