This is a hybrid (within 50 miles of Fort Bragg, NC) or fully remote position. LMI is seeking a talented Data Analyst to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in transforming raw data into actionable insights, primarily leveraging your expertise in Power BI to create compelling visualizations and reports. You will work collaboratively with various departments to understand their data needs, contribute to data-driven decision-making, and help improve business processes and outcomes. This position requires an active Secret clearance, TS/SCI Preferred.
Responsibilities
Connect to, extract, and transform data from various sources to ensure data readiness for analysis.
Design and develop effective data models within Power BI to support reporting and analytical requirements. Write complex DAX formulas and measures to create calculated fields and aggregations for in-depth analysis. Clean, validate, and preprocess data to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness. Design, develop, and deploy interactive and user-friendly Power BI dashboards and reports. Perform in-depth data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights. Work closely with stakeholders to gather, clarify, and refine data and reporting requirements. Translate client questions into analytical approaches and technical specifications. Present findings and recommendations clearly and concisely to diverse government audiences. Contribute to maintaining data quality and integrity within reporting solutions. Proactively identify opportunities for data process improvements and reporting enhancements. Stay updated with the latest features and best practices in Power BI and data analytics. Extract and integrate data from SharePoint lists, libraries, and other SharePoint components into Power BI. Collaborate with SharePoint administrators and users to understand data availability and structure within the SharePoint environment. Publish and embed Power BI reports and dashboards within SharePoint sites for broader accessibility and collaboration.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience. 3-5 years of professional experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar role. - Active Secret clearance required, TS/SCI Preferred
Proven expertise in Microsoft Power BI, including connecting to diverse data sources, strong data modeling, and proficiency in DAX. Extensive experience in designing and developing compelling interactive Power BI dashboards and reports. Solid understanding of relational databases and strong SQL querying skills. Experience with data cleaning, transformation, and ETL processes, particularly Power Query. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex data insights to non-technical audiences. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment. Experience utilizing SharePoint as a data source for Power BI reports and dashboards. Familiarity with SharePoint site structures, lists, libraries, and metadata.
