Position:Accounting Manager Industry:Manufacturing Location:Fully Remote Overview We're seeking a dynamic finance professional who views accounting as more than just numbers. This role is ideal for someone who leverages financial data to uncover business opportunities and drive strategic initiatives. With a strong commitment to accuracy and ethics, you'll lead a team focused on enhancing business performance and streamlining accounting operations. Key Responsibilities Lead the monthly financial close process, including journal entry review, account reconciliations, and variance analysis. Prepare financial information for consolidation into broader corporate results. Oversee internal and external audits and ensure SOX compliance. Implement and maintain internal financial controls and remediation plans. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure adherence to accounting policies and documentation standards. Identify opportunities to improve financial performance through cost reduction, cash flow improvement, and strategic decision-making. Drive process improvement initiatives to eliminate manual tasks and enhance efficiency. Mentor and develop junior team members. Serve as a key liaison with other departments to align accounting operations with broader business goals. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA required. Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, ideally in a manufacturing environment or with a public accounting firm. Strong understanding of balance sheet and P&L relationships, with a solid foundation in U.S. GAAP. Experience with SOX compliance, including control documentation and effectiveness assessments. Proven ability to coach and mentor team members. Familiarity with ERP and consolidation/reporting systems. Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage across all levels of the organization. Experience managing audits and serving as the primary contact for external auditors. Demonstrated leadership and a desire for continued professional growth.
