Role Description and Responsibilities BIOVIA is looking for a motivated Technical Support Engineer to join our team in San Diego, CA. This role is for a client-focused Technical Support Engineer with a solid technical prowess to provide post-sales support for our enterprise software solutions. BIOVIA, a brand of DASSAULT SYSTEMES supports industries and organizations that rely on scientific innovation to differentiate themselves. Our customer base includes the world's largest pharmaceutical, biotechnology, biologics, medical device, and contract manufacturing/research organizations. Qualifications * Bachelor's degree or higher in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a Life Sciences related domain is preferred * 3-4 years of prior experience delivering technical support for enterprise software. * Be an avid problem solver with a strong desire to be in a customer-facing role. * Have the ability to work independently or in small teams. Demonstrable experience in any/all of the following technology areas would be a distinct advantage: * BIOVIA product, life science industry, or chemistry/biology laboratory domain experience * SQL script creation and Oracle Database administration * Microsoft Windows Server system administration and Active Directory * Web server and networking technologies, such as Apache Tomcat or Microsoft IIS with SSL/TLS certificates * TCP/IP and network topology knowledge, including load balancers, routers, etc. * Citrix XenApp or similar virtualization software Compensation for this role will be commensurate with experience.
