The Export Compliance Coordinator provides oversight into all required documentation related for export & USDA permit ensuring compliance with all relevant customs regulations. Reporting into the Export Regulatory Manager, this role supports our business by managing documentation, tracking export compliance requirements, and assisting with audits and regulatory inspections.

This role requires on-site 5x a week out of our Monroe Township, NJ facility.

MEASURES OF SUCCESS:
  • Responsible for completing all required export regulatory documentation such as: Health Certificate, Phytosanitary Certificate, manufacturer declarations, i.e.) for product exports.
  • Personally, educate self on the latest Customs, FDA USDA, and other government agency export regulations.
  • Apply working knowledge of export regulations and requirements to support business needs.
  • Verifies raw materials and finished products on file meet approved exporting country requirements.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of export certificates, license/permit renewal applications, and other relevant compliance documentations.
  • Assisting with internal audits to assess compliance, preparing and generating reports on export activities, and gathering requested documents requested by auditor.
  • Sustain current IREGs export documents for approved exporting countries on file.
  • Conduct research on exporting requirements for new countries not currently approved for export.
  • Support regulatory management on annual inspection to sustain export approval status.
  • Meet required tasks specified by manager.


IDEAL CANDIDATE ATTRIBUTES:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Science, Engineering, International Trade, or related technical field.
  • Strong working knowledge of USDA, FDA, and state-level regulations related to food or pet food handling, storage, and distribution.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational, time management, and record keeping skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and shifting deadlines effectively.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe/PDF tools) and use of office equipment (e.g., scanners, copiers).
