Job summary

You will be responsiblefor understandingevolvingclient needsin AI and digital infrastructure, networking and data center space;staying on top of competitor offerings and market trends,influencingproduct and businessstrategy/ roadmap, product portfolio / feature specification, andhelping leadership to make prioritization decisions.We are looking for a team member who brings expertise in product strategy / AI infrastructure / cloud / networking, who can grow and become the go-to thought partner of senior leaders in our Global Markets and Products Organization (GMPO).

We are looking for an all-star contributor for the Corporate Strategy team to help us drive the next wave of growth at Equinix. This role will sit at the intersection between product / technology and strategy. As part of the team, you will be responsible for developing a long-term outlook for our products and global markets, supporting critical decision making, and ensuring Equinix maintains a strong competitive edge in strategy and execution.

You will be working at the core of Equinix, with the Chief Strategy Officer, Senior Director / Strategy Partner for GMPO, and other senior leaders in the compilation and analysis of strategy, M&A, Real Estate, long term capital and operating budget allocation, new market entry, technology assessment, future of data center, and other corporate strategy initiatives for the company. This role gives you a bird's eye view of the entire company and the ability to work collaboratively across functions.

Responsibilities

Strategic


  • Become the thought partner of the senior leadership at Equinix, in particular GMPO business leaders

  • Advance the corporate strategy team on product strategy, market evolution, AI and technology knowledge through research and expert interviews

  • Maintain a longer-term outlook to identify risks and opportunities, making sure that we don't let the urgent crowd out the important BAU

  • Gather and analyze large amounts of information expeditiously; develop compelling and insightful strategic recommendations for leadership, focused on AI infrastructure, networking and data center product strategy, and key markets for Equinix across the globe

  • Annual strategic planning process: Collaborate with senior leaders across products and regional leaders to set OKRs and support them with initiative design and sequencing

  • Strategy presentations: CEO and board material creation

  • Coach peer and junior colleagues where applicable


Ad-hoc


  • Develop memo/white paper on emerging market trend or competitor dynamic

  • Design and lead (when applicable) high profile cross-functional initiatives (e.g., Private AI product strategy)


Qualifications


  • 5+ years' experience in product strategy, technology focused growth strategy, or business development at a data center/digital infrastructure, technology or management consulting firm preferred

  • Work experience in or consulting for SaaS,SoftwareDefinedInfrastructure, Networking, IaaS/GPUaaS and/or Data Center infrastructure

  • Experience in metro level growth strategy for data centers, industry / segment marketing, competitor intelligence / market scan, commercial optimization would be directly applicable

  • Passion and aptitude for analytical rigor and creating an independentpoint of view, an ability to multitask, high standards of excellence and a desire to 'get things done'

  • Talent for building relationships and alignment across different stakeholders and working with senior leaders

  • Proven track record of delivery in different context

  • Growth focused mindset

  • Computer Science,ComputerEngineering orequivalent background preferred

  • Specific areas of knowledge or technical experience in AI infrastructure and networking preferred


The United States targeted pay range for this position in the following location is / locations are:

  • San Francisco, CA / Bay Area: $139,000 to $209,000 per year

Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training.

This position may be offered in other locations. Your recruiter can share more about the specific pay range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

The targeted pay range listed reflects the base pay only and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Employees are eligible for bonus, and equity may be offered depending on the position.
