MD/DO Emergency Medicine - West Union, IA (1.0 FTE)

Gundersen Health System is looking for a BC/BE Emergency Medicine or Family Medicine physician to practice at our critical access hospital located in West Union, Iowa. A rewarding practice and excellent quality of life awaits you at Gundersen Palmer Lutheran Hospital.

Practice Highlights:

* 6 - 24 hour shifts = full-time

* EMR - EPIC

* Supported by Level II Trauma Center, Primary Stroke Center, STEMI/PCI Program with medical management of both ground and air transport

* Specialty services phone consultations 24/7 with La Crosse based specialists

* Telestroke available in all Gundersen Health System critical access hospitals

Northeast Iowa is often called Iowa's Bluff Country of the Little Switzerland of Iowa. The bluffs, hills and valleys are full of Iowa's most extensive hardwood forests, native prairies, welands, cold water trout streams and spectacular views. This region boasts small family farms and more public land to explore than in any other region in Iowa.

Must have completed an accredited graduate medical training program and be board certified or eligible within the area of medicine stated. In addition, must have or be able to obtain a license to practice in our multi-state region with no restrictions or limitations. Medical staff in our system will supervise advanced practice clinicians. Medical staff may need to provide outreach service as part of their role in the system. Teaching students, residents, fellows or clinical staff is cornerstone to our Medical Education philosophy and an expectation of all medical staff.
