DESCRIPTION OF WORK

The main responsibility of this role involves operating equipment for the construction and maintenance of all infrastructures within Forest District 11, as well as supporting wildfire suppression efforts. This includes handling specialized vehicles and equipment weighing between 10,001 and 26,000 pounds, such as backhoes, skid steers, small bulldozers, front-end loaders, tractors, forklifts, various mowing machines, and small dump trucks. The position requires the operation of these vehicles and equipment for the upkeep and development of state forest roads, grounds maintenance tasks like grass and brush mowing, snow removal, and cindering operations, as well as the maintenance and construction of recreational trails. QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

Six months experience in the operation and maintenance of large vans, buses and single-chassis trucks with a gross vehicle weight of 10,001 pounds or more; or -
Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
