Safety Coordinator

Are you passionate about workplace safety and compliance? Staffmark is hiring a Safety Coordinator for a growing company in Katy, TX. In this critical role, you'll help implement and maintain health, safety, and environmental (HSE) protocols, ensuring a safe and compliant workplace for all employees and contractors.

Pay: $31.25 - $36.05/hour (Based on experience)

Schedule: 1st Shift | Full-Time

Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate HSE documentation and records
• Conduct regular safety inspections of the manufacturing area
• Update contractor portals with OSHA reports and compliance documents
• Assist in the development, auditing, and enforcement of HSE policies
• Facilitate safety training and workshops for employees and contractors
• Monitor HSE performance metrics and identify areas for improvement
• Investigate incidents and near-misses; recommend corrective actions
• Contribute to risk assessments and develop method statements (RAMS)
• Collaborate with the QHSE Manager on continuous safety improvements
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local safety regulations
• Support quality administration and documentation when needed
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or related field
• Minimum 3 years of experience in an HSE role (preferably in manufacturing, construction, or industrial environments)
• Strong knowledge of HSE legislation, OSHA standards, and safety best practices
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• High attention to detail with strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to lead, influence, and engage employees at all levels
• NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent safety certification highly preferred
• Comfortable working both independently and in a team
• Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs and sit for prolonged periods
• Willingness to travel as needed
