Job Duties: Vice President, Product Controllers with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in New York, New York. Oversee daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly profit and loss analyses controls over the US Interest Rate Volatility trading desk, including reconciliations between front-office and back-end systems. Perform ongoing price verification procedures to ensure appropriate valuation of firm inventory of a highly complex business, including monitoring of derivative pricing model and valuation adjustment inputs vs. external market data. Monitor the team's review process of new trades and new business activities to ensure appropriate valuation and accounting treatment. Work with the Financial Reporting team on the validation of certain inputs in disclosures that are included in the firm's external 10Q and 10K filings. Participate in team-wide and firm-wide strategic projects to drive collaboration across stakeholders; push forward automation of processes. Handle ad-hoc requests from various divisions and departments across the firm. Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or a related analytical or engineering field, such as Civil Engineering and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role. Prior experience must include five (5) years of experience with: working within the financial and capital markets including banks and hedge funds; working with the valuation of derivative products across interest rate, currencies, and credit; performing analytical review of account performance including profit and loss attribution using Greeks (including Delta and Vega) and identifying incorrect pricing or foreign exchange rates; and liaising with internal stakeholders who support controllers and operations functions, and credit and currency trading desks. Prior experience must include two (2) years of experience with: analyzing US GAAP accounting and financial statements, and financial and regulatory reporting.
