Mobile Electrician - JLL

What this job involves:

Maintain, install, and troubleshoot all aspects of electrical infrastructure while operating and inspecting electrical equipment and systems in assigned facilities. You will ensure equipment operates in an energy efficient, safe manner while minimizing downtime through proactive maintenance and detailed record keeping. This role requires technical expertise in the electrical field plus basic knowledge of other trades to successfully complete daily and weekly work assignments, directly contributing to JLL's operational excellence and client satisfaction.

What your day-to-day will look like:

• Demonstrate knowledge of electrical/instrumentation/control building equipment and systems required to operate and maintain electrical equipment and systems
• Plan and layout work details in the assembly, installation, testing, maintenance, and repair of a wide variety of electrical apparatus, control equipment and wiring used in industrial light and power distribution systems including equipment such as generating equipment, panels, automatic switches, variable frequency drives, complex circuit breaking units, transformer units, and alarms
• Troubleshoot and correct faulty wiring or electrical difficulties in motors, and other equipment. Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, maintain, upgrade and install all electrical/instrumentation equipment and systems
• Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematic drawings
• Interact with clients and maintenance staff to determine the best approach to completion of assignments in a safe, environmentally compliant manner
• Safely use a large variety of hand and shop power tools
• Complete all documentation by required deadlines. Document accurately and clearly in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) in real time

Required Qualifications:

• Candidate must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license
• Electrician Journeyman's and/or State License is required
• High school diploma or state equivalent required
• A minimum of 4 years of electrical trade school or training equivalent, with 5+ years of electrical work experience
• Knowledge of OSHA standards and local codes
• Team player, hard worker, good interpersonal skills, ability to communicate well in both oral and written reports
• Skilled and physically able to operate hand tools, work on a ladder, carry tools, lift, and carry heavy loads, operate required equipment, and operate a motor vehicle

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of overall MEP system design and application
• Experience managing work orders, utilizing CMMS technology
• Experience working in a service-related role, specific to commercial facilities
• Able to work in close places such as closets, crawl spaces, attics, vaults, etc.
• Able to work on roofs of buildings

Location: Miami, FL and surrounding area

Work Shift: 1st shift. Subject to call in work 24 hours per day, perform on call duties and overtime as required
