The US Oncology Network is looking for a Hybrid Senior Project Manager - Precision Health Informatics to join our team at Texas Oncology. This position will be primarly located in Dallas, Texas. Some travel may be necessary.

What does this position do?

The Senior Project Manager for Precision Health Informatics will be responsible for establishing and supporting all activities associated with the direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control, and completion of projects that relate to critical business goals, ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments, and objectives. Uses knowledge of clinical and practice systems to build project plans utilizing information from electronic medical billing, pharmacy management systems, inventory management systems, medical laboratory systems, and/or electronic medical records systems. Collaborates with other teams on the deployment, installation, and maintenance of software programs, and continually reviews processes to suggest and implement improvements. Escalates any project issues or risks and provides recommendations to senior leadership as appropriate. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, to include Code of Ethics and Business Standards, and US Oncology's Shared Values.


Responsibilities

The essential duties and responsibilities (including but not limited to):

  • Develop business cases, calculate ROI, and establish a sustainable process for the ongoing management of products to support the business.

  • Manage scheduling and conduct all project team meetings, provide meeting agenda, and action items. Preferably utilizing Copilot or an alternative AI.
  • Design detailed processes to clarify workflows, dependencies (functional, system), roles, and responsibilities.
  • Manage vendor(s) future application enhancements and review and understand functional specifications to map out alignment with current business needs and anticipated future needs.

  • Define, track, and report key success and operational metrics (monthly and quarterly).

  • Other duties may be assigned as needed to meet company goals.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have the following background and experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in a science or healthcare-related program

    Or

    Associate's Degree + four (4) years of related work experience

    Or

    High School diploma or equivalent and eight (8) years of related work experience

  • Five (5) years of experience as a Project Manager or similar position responsible for defining and managing project scope, timelines, profitability, and effective delivery of products or services.
  • Experience in managing delivery of customer-facing and internally facing products or services.
  • PMI or PMP certification or similar from an accredited organization is required.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency with industry-standard word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software programs.
  • Self-starter with proven leadership skills in consulting and project management

Work Environment: This position may require long periods of sitting and computer work. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Work is performed in an office environment with frequent interaction internally with corporate and field staff, and externally with outside vendors. Work may require possible travel by air or automobile.
