The Podiatric Residency Program is seeking a Program Director to join its program in Northern Virginia. The Inova Fairfax Hospital Podiatric Residency Program is a comprehensive, fully-integrated, three-year podiatric medical and surgical program that offers the professional opportunities of an urban hospital in a convenient, suburban Northern Virginia locale.

Our Podiatry Program Goals:



  • Advance the level of podiatric medicine and surgery via the highest quality of residency training
  • Utilize a multi-disciplinary approach within multiple facilities
  • Further integrate the profession of podiatric medicine within the medical community
  • Advance the level of foot and ankle care for the public at large

Requirements:



  • Education: A DPM, MD or DO from an accredited university medical school, Completed ACGME residency training and subsequent fellowship, Board eligible or Board certified in Podiatry
  • Licensure: Current or eligibility for an unrestricted Virginia state medical license and DEA
  • Credentialing: Able to successfully obtain and meet the standards and requirements of the Inova Medical Staff Credentialing process


Preferred Requirements:



  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills and presentation skills for both clinical and non-clinical audiences, in group settings or one-on-one.
  • Expertise in establishing physician relationships combined with the ability to manage an interdisciplinary team while appreciating and fostering peer participation from all disciplines.
  • Advocate for organizational Mission, Vision and Values
  • Strong interests in residency leadership and teaching
