Job Title: Data Center Technician (Level 4) Travel Requirement: 75% Regional Travel Location Base: Milwaukee Market Pay Range per hour $23.00-$45.00 Overview: We are seeking experienced Level 4 Data Center Technicians to join a regional traveling team supporting large-scale GPU deployments in enterprise data center environments. This role requires a strong experience in data center operations, hardware troubleshooting, and infrastructure support. Key Responsibilities: * Perform break/fix, deployment, and troubleshooting tasks for data center hardware and infrastructure. * Remove network cables as part of decommissioning activities. * Run, label, and stage power and networking cables. * Execute DBD (Device-Based Decommissioning) removal tasks (no scanning required). * Follow established procedures for installing, diagnosing, troubleshooting, replacing, and decommissioning equipment under the guidance of Data Center Technician Leads. * Prepare, stage, and perform basic startup and shutdown procedures for hardware using written instructions and checklists. * Conduct physical audits of data center assets. * Monitor systems for equipment failures or performance issues. * Respond to program error messages and assist in resolving issues. * Support testing and debugging of new programs in collaboration with programmers and analysts. * Operate software tools (e.g., spreadsheets) to manage and report data. Qualifications: * Minimum 7 years of dedicated data center experience. * Strong understanding of computer hardware, servers, and components. * Experience with GPU deployments is a significant plus. * Familiarity with network and systems infrastructure. * Proficiency with basic office software (e.g., Outlook, Excel, Word). * High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required; Associate's degree in computer programming or related training preferred. * Excellent communication, problem-solving, and time management skills. * Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Skills: * Data center operations and infrastructure management. * Cable management and hardware installation. * Break/fix and diagnostic troubleshooting. * Experience in high-performance computing environments. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $30.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
