Operations Supervisor - 2nd shift - Delavan, WI

We have an opportunity for an Operations Supervisor to join our Delavan, WI team. You will be responsible for the processes in 2nd shift fabrication departments, including safety, quality, and production. These areas consist of 13 molding presses and 20+ CNC lathes/Mills, along with specialized machinery. This role will have two leads directly reporting to them along with 30+ hourly direct reports operators.

You will:

  • Provide daily supervision and support of employees including assignment of work, managing employee performance issues, improving productivity, and maintaining staffing levels.
  • Achieve sustainable improvements along five key categories: Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Cash (SQDCC).
  • Maintain department Gemba boards with assistance from leads and be responsible for monthly RCCM creation related to monthly metric misses.
  • Coordinate with the first shift Sr Supervisor to ensure the most critical short-term and long-term goals are achieved in a timely fashion.
  • Lead kaizen events supporting the value stream strategy deployment plan owned by the Value Stream Manager.
  • Use experience to troubleshoot and improve and/or create new processes.
  • Understand customer needs in making day-to-day decisions and frequently provide feedback or act on changes in customer requirements.
  • Provide direction and guidance to non-salaried and entry level personnel; evaluate performance of and assist in career development planning for subordinates.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or 5+ years of functional supervisory experience
  • Experience within a manufacturing environment that produces fabricated components such as machining, molding, and metalwork.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and have a basic understanding of GD&T
  • Cross-functional manufacturing background (production, materials, planning, engineering, etc.)
  • Technically sound in LEAN manufacturing techniques and process improvement strategies
  • Strong leadership skills including the ability to communicate broadly, teach/coach, motivate, and foster accountability
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite

Compensation:

For this full-time position working at this location, the anticipated annualized base pay range will be from $61,200- $113,600/ year. At Pentair, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the pay range. Pentair considers various factors in determining actual compensation for this position at the expected location. Actual compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, work location, and other relevant business or organizational needs. This position may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as an annual incentive bonus.
