The Position

The centralized treasury department ensures optimal investing, financing and appropriate liquidity of the Group and its affiliates. It is responsible for managing the financial assets and liabilities for the entire Roche Group. Within the treasury department, the US Funds Management team, located in Little Falls, NJ, manages the investment, financing and accounting of all benefit and compensation plans across the US.

The Opportunity

The Treasury Finance Manager within the Treasury Organization plays a critical role in the accounting, financing, investment management and operational oversight of Roche's $18B+ US Benefit Trusts/Plans including Roche's Defined Contribution Plan, Defined Benefit Plan, multiple Health & Welfare Plans, and a Corporate-owned life and Trust-Owned insurance plan (COLI and TOLI).

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Investment Oversight: Conducting due diligence and management of equity investment managers and index funds.

  • Liquidity Management: Ensuring sufficient liquidity for pension, health, and welfare payments.

  • COLI Program Management: Overseeing the COLI program and related activities.

  • Governance Support: Coordinating and supporting Governance Committee meetings.

  • Audit Coordination: Collaborating with Treasury Operations to manage annual internal and external audits and preparation of 5500 filings.

  • Relationship Management: Building and maintaining strong business relationships with Consultants, Investment Managers, actuaries, and internal departments including Legal and People & Culture.

Who You Are

  • Education: Bachelor's required. MBA, CPA, and/or CFA or progress towards these qualifications is desirable.

  • Experience: 5-7 years in finance with a strong inquisitive nature.

  • Expertise: Prior experience in retirement and benefit trends is highly desirable.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication abilities.

  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in PowerPoint, Google Slides, Excel/Google Sheets, and Gmail.

  • Networking Ability: Adept at building relationships within and outside the company.

  • Team Orientation: Comfortable working collaboratively and pivoting across various finance functions.

  • Self-Starter: Strong project management skills and proactive work ethic.

  • Language Skills: Excellent English skills; proficiency in German or another foreign language is an advantage.

  • Travel Requirements: Limited travel, primarily attending remote meetings or those in Little Falls, NJ.

This position is based in Little Falls, NJ and requires a hybrid work schedule.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of New Jersey is $104,900 - $194,900. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
