Essential Functions

Perform clinical duties including greeting and arriving patients in the system, recording patient medical histories, taking and recording vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, setting up medical laboratory equipment, collecting specimens and sending to laboratory for analysis, performing routinein houselaboratory tests and sample analysis. Covers for eachclinic as needed. Serves as aliaisonbetween locations andNurse Practitioners. Initially sets-up and provides ongoing support for locations including ordering initial supplies/equipment, checking inventory and ordering additional supplies as needed, setting up templates for schedules, coordinating with IDX and eCw to acquiremnemonics, entering all patients for outside clinics,establishing new accounts and performing accurate and timely billing and follow-up for Business Health Clinics. Set up classes, billing,mnemonicsandschedules for new employees. Prepares and maintain patient treatment rooms keeping the rooms neat, clean and stocked. Includes, cleaninginstrumentsand disposing ofcontaminated supplies, tracking inventory and ordering medical supplies and equipment Schedules patient appointments according to practitioner schedules, schedule tests in other medical facilities or departments, set up referrals and call in prescriptions Performs general office duties such as answering phones, faxing, copying, filing, and ordering officesuppliesand performingother office duties as assigned by the department manager. Keeps financial records and perform accurate billing including complete and accurate patient registration, charge capture, accurate payroll deduction documentation for all payments and balancing with the computer reports at day end, follow up on patient accounts to ensure that charges and subsequent payroll deduction (payments) match, resolve all account discrepancies on a timely basis, answer all patient questions and inquiries regarding their accounts. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements
Education - Post high school education up to 18 months. Completion of a clinical medical program Experience - No previous experience-Front office, administrative, medical assistant. One (1) year experience preferred
