Overview

Shift: 2nd Shift Hours are 4:20pm-2:50am - some additional overlap with first shift maybe required

Overtime is worked on Fridays and schedule requires

Type: Full-Time | Reports to: 2nd shift supervisor

We are a growing metal fabrication company looking for a hands-on, people-first Production Lead to oversee our 2nd shift operations, including welding, machining, and tube bending departments (Currently about 12 direct reports). Responsibilities

What You'll Do:

    Lead, coach, and support a team of skilled operators and fabricators on 2nd shift
  • Ensure production goals are met with high quality and efficiency
  • Set daily priorities based on production schedules and coordinate across departments
  • Monitor safety, quality, and performance metrics, making on-the-spot adjustments as needed
  • Serve as the go-to person for problem-solving on the floor
  • Communicate clearly with 1st shift leads to ensure smooth handoffs and continuity
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement
  • Provide backup coverage for the Production Supervisor
  • May perform other duties as assigned


Qualifications

What We're Looking For:

  • 3+ years of leadership experience in a manufacturing or metal fabrication environment
  • Solid understanding of welding, machining, and/or tube bending operations
  • Strong communicator who can give direction and feedback with clarity and respect
  • Proven ability to coach, mentor, and develop individuals and teams
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on production environment
  • Committed to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
