Position Title: ServiceNow Engineer - *Hybrid in Columbia, MD* *W2 Only*
Position Summary: The ServiceNow Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining solutions within the ServiceNow platform. This includes creating or modifying applications, forms, workflows, policies, access controls, interfaces, integrations, and other configurations to support business processes. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Design, configure, and maintain ServiceNow applications and workflows. * Develop and implement integrations, customizations, and orchestrations within the ServiceNow environment. * Maintain and enhance ServiceNow workflows and record creation methods. * Implement vendor plug-ins from the ServiceNow Store. * Participate in the development and modification of front-end components, business logic, and Web API/Web services integrations. * Provide ongoing support and continuous improvement for existing ServiceNow applications. * Collaborate in requirements gathering and technical design of new features and enhancements. * Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues as needed. * Utilize source control and project tracking tools such as ServiceNow, Microsoft Team Foundation Server, or Git. * Adhere to company standards for design, development, testing, implementation, and maintenance. * Participate in project status meetings and provide regular updates. * Mentor junior developers in design principles, coding practices, continuous integration, and agile methodologies. * Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements: * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field with 4 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 2 years of relevant experience. * Proficiency in ServiceNow, JavaScript, object-oriented design, and relational databases (SQL Server). * Experience with API and web service consumption. * Strong understanding of T-SQL programming. * Experience in report development within ServiceNow. * Familiarity with Windows Server environments. * ServiceNow Application Developer or Administrator certification required. * Knowledge of software engineering best practices across the full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations. *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $60.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
