NOTE: Ability to talk about these skills in an interview setting will be the deciding factor. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cloud Database Platform Engineer to join our team. As a DBE, you'll be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our database systems to ensure optimal performance, security, and reliability. The ideal candidate will have strong experiene in database development, performance tuning, cloud platforms, and automation. This role involves developing technical documents, coaching developers, assisting application teams, and creating functional and non-functional requirements. The DBE will build scalable database solutions using AWS services, develop Infrastructure as Code (IAC) modules using Terraform, and create database CI/CD pipelines.As a DBE, mentoring junior members of the team is expected. On-call availability is required. Skills & Qualifications -Group supports OLTP databases, tier 2 when engineering needs deeper expertise: designing schemas, performance tuning, building out tooling for new needs with the Dev groups. -Expertise in DBA capacity or Data Science/BI skill sets. -Candidate must be able to speak on their experience and skills in a concise but comprehensive manner. Ability to communicate and soft skills is a priority. -Helpful if they are good with Lambda, glue, Stepfunctions. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $140000.00/yr.
