This department typically works Monday-Friday 8am-5pm

What the day-to-day would be:

  • Ensure collateral control; checking in, reviewing Notes, and shipping Notes to the end investor. Review the accuracy of collateral to ensure it is sent out timely and not held for an extended amount of time.
  • To prepare for funding, review loan documents for accuracy and quality control. Submit file to wire department for timely funding.
  • Process payoff of incoming wires to the loans and reconcile the daily balancing of incoming and outgoing wire requests.
  • Help ensure all loans funded have been registered with MERS.
  • Review outstanding loans for any missing documents.
  • Review monthly sampling for internal review of appraisals and HUD settlement statements.
  • Act and exercise independent judgment to assist customers in absence of SVP/VP.
  • Research customer accounts and perform some reconciliation.
  • Reconcile checking and general ledger accounts.
  • Reconcile warehouse system daily to general ledger and Finance wire system.
  • Research incoming wires and ensure the proper loans are paid off.
  • Perform general Account Rep duties to include correspondence, shipping collateral, and other admin duties like copying, filing, supplies and other assignments as needed.
  • Research and maintain approved Title Company list with accurate wiring instructions.
  • Research customer accounts.
  • Monitor and report any known or suspected violation(s) of any regulatory rules or regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

What it takes to be successful in this role:

  • Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to work through problems by listening, thinking through all issues, and responding appropriately.
  • Ability to take initiative to find answers by researching as asking questions.
  • Must be well organized and detail oriented. Attention to detail is a must.
  • Demonstrated success in a fast-paced service environment.
  • Strong communication and writing skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Compliance/bank policy knowledge
  • Ability to perform work independently and well with others in a team environment.
  • Familiarity with loan documents is a plus.

What you need to bring to the table:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 3+ years' experience in the banking industry, with experience of mortgage/consumer loan documents or processing preferred.

Bring it all together:

Will be performing operational, funding duties, loan payoffs and collateral control duties related to the Mortgage Warehouse Department of the Bank. The Account Representative should be proficient in warehouse lending and Bank policy and procedures. Position will also be accountable for reviewing a sampling of files Post-Closing to verify proper adherence with lending guidelines, policy and procedures. Reviewing reports for collateral verifications and assisting with day-to-day duties and promoting good relations with all associates and departments within the Bank to maintain organization and efficiency. Internal Pay Level-This job is currently being rated but is expected to be in pay level 6.
