Apply U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), U.S. Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS), or Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) Auditing Standards. Conduct external audits, including Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) registrants. Research technical accounting issues. Understand and address SEC financial reporting issues. Review audit work papers. Test the design and effectiveness of internal financial controls for assigned clients. Assist with account functions, including billing, fee analysis, and new service development. Identify performance improvement opportunities for assigned clients. Demonstrate in-depth accounting knowledge. Pursue business development opportunities. Establish and maintain client relationships and professional networks.
WORK SCHEDULE: 40 hours per week, M-F (9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.) JOBREQUIREMENTS: Must have a Master's degree or foreign equivalent inAccounting, Finance, Business Administration, Management, or a related field,and 2 years of related work experience; OR a Bachelor's degree or foreignequivalent in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Management, or arelated field, and 5 years of post-bachelor's, progressive related workexperience. Must have an active California CPA license. Of the required experience, must have 2 years of experiencewith the following: U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) orInternational Standards for Financial Reporting (IFRS); U.S. Generally AcceptedAuditing Standards (GAAS) or International Standards on Auditing (ISA); PublicCompany Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) Auditing Standards; SEC financialreporting issues, including SEC filings for public engagements; and Testinginternal accounting procedures and communicating findings to clients.
