The Manager, Module Process Development will guide a dynamic engineering team focused on advancing our Photonic Integrated Circuits (PIC) Module Products. You will play a crucial role in developing and transferring innovative assembly processes to manufacturing, ensuring our optical engines meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency. This position collaborates closely with cross-functional teams to align on product requirements and streamline design qualification efforts. - Manage and scale a high-performing engineering team specializing in mechanical engineering and material science for optical engine assembly.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product requirements and execute process design methodologies.
- Facilitate interactions with internal and external partners on design, qualification, and project execution efforts.
- Resolve complex technical demands on one's own and drive innovative solutions, using data-driven methodologies.
- Develop, monitor, and optimize project budgets, schedules, and risk profiles to ensure timely delivery of objectives.
- Provide strategic inputs for product roadmaps and manage project milestones.
- Mentor team members, foster a collaborative environment, and evaluate candidates to build a strong team.
You have:
- MS in Engineering with 5+ years of experience in telecommunications, opto electronics, or microelectronics
- Proven experience managing diverse teams of strong separate contributors
- Hands-on experience with opto electronic or microelectronic assembly processes and equipment
- Strong engineering and project management skills, including budget and risk management
It would be nice if you also had:
- Experience in design methodologies and platform development for optical engines
- Knowledge of Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Design of Experiments (DOE)
- Strong communication skills with the ability to convey technical information to executive leadership
- Ability to build cost models and perform competitive analyses
