Overview
Responsibilities
Summary
- A detail-oriented and technically proficient Electrical Engineer with a solid foundation in power systems, lighting, and safety-critical infrastructure
- Demonstrates a strong balance between engineering knowledge and hands-on project execution
- Shows growing responsibility and leadership in design and client-facing roles
Technical Expertise
- Strong understanding of power system design, including low and medium voltage distribution, grounding systems, and power study analysis
- Skilled in lighting system design, including commercial lighting, lighting calculations, control systems, and use of relevant software tools
- Knowledgeable in fire alarm systems and telecommunications systems design
- Proficient in Revit for electrical design and documentation
Professional Responsibilities
- Evaluates, selects, and applies standard engineering methods and techniques on small projects or portions of larger ones
- Performs a variety of routine engineering assignments under supervision, with increasing autonomy based on performance
- Supports project leaders with specific design tasks and calculations
- May lead electrical teams on selected projects, including client meetings to define scope, present progress, and ensure satisfaction
- Exercises judgment in adapting and modifying design concepts, consulting with supervisors on complex or unusual problems
- Reviews work with supervisors to ensure sound engineering practices and professional judgment
- Contributes to writing specifications and preparing cost estimates
- Performs design work using Revit and other relevant tools
- Open to travel as required by project demands

Qualifications
Who We Need:
- Educational Background: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering qualifying for licensure in the state of practice is required.
- Professional Experience: Four (4) or more years of related practical experience.
- Certifications: E.I.T. certification preferred; PE tracked is a plus.
- Software Proficiency: Experience with AutoCAD platforms, with an emphasis on Revit.
- Technical Knowledge:
- Good understanding of power system design.
- Familiarity with lighting calculations, software, and lighting system design including controls.
- Good understanding of grounding system design.
- Good understanding of fire alarm systems design.
- Familiarity with telecommunications systems design.
- Communication Skills: Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively within a team.
- Work Environment: Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid setting.
