Responsibilities

Arcfield is seeking a dynamic AI/ML leader to spearhead the optimization, and deployment of machine learning capabilities tailored for complex systems analysis. This individual will be a trusted advisor, guiding AI/ML strategy to ensure alignment with our Government customer's Advanced Ground Office priorities while assessing industry approaches for cost-efficiency and technical viability from a SETA perspective. Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead AI/ML innovation initiatives focused on predictive modeling, automation, and advanced data analysis.
  • Direct the prototyping of deep learning applications for computer vision, sensor intelligence, and anomaly detection.
  • Oversee the optimization and deployment of scalable AI solutions across edge and cloud environments.
  • Shape integration strategies for AI-driven analytics within enterprise systems, ensuring seamless data interoperability.
  • Establish and enforce rigorous validation standards to maintain robustness, reliability, and mission-readiness of AI models.
  • Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams in an Agile environment, influencing the strategic direction of AI-enhanced solutions.
  • Author and refine high-impact technical documentation, providing authoritative guidance on AI model architectures, training methodologies, and deployment best practices.
  • Ensure strict compliance with security policies and data governance frameworks to uphold operational integrity.
  • Continuously evaluate emerging AI/ML advancements to identify transformative opportunities for operational efficiency and mission effectiveness.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with CI poly
  • Bachelor's degree with 12 years total professional experience in a relevant field such as AI/ML, Data Science, Engineering, or Systems Analysis (or Master's degree with 10 years or PhD with 8 years)
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of experience guiding AI/ML strategy and implementation in complex operational environments.
  • Deep expertise in AI/ML frameworks, including TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Scikit-learn
  • Strong leadership in managing AI-driven initiatives and cross-functional collaboration
  • Experience driving the adoption of cloud-based AI solutions (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) for mission-critical applications
  • Proven ability to assess, develop, and optimize AI models for real-time and large-scale data operations

Desired:

  • Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in AI/ML, Data Science, Engineering, or a related technical domain
  • Experience in applying AI/ML to defense, cybersecurity, or mission-critical operations
  • Expertise in data engineering, feature engineering, and model deployment strategies
  • Familiarity with automated machine learning (AutoML) techniques
  • Professional AI/ML certifications such as Microsoft Certified AI Engineer Associate or AWS Machine Learning Specialty
