This role is designed to support Loews Philadelphia Hotel in an ongoing effort to identify, attract, and hire best in class hoteliers to join our team. In addition to full cycle recruitment, this person will support the HR team in training & development, employee relations, administrative tasks and more. Responsibilities:
- Build a network of qualified candidates through diversity efforts, social media, networking, college, culinary, high schools, associations and technical school recruiting
- Build relationships with department leaders to better understand property needs and "soft skills" tied to openings
- Responsible forthe recruitment of salaried and non-salaried roles
- Screen candidates by reviewing resumes and job applications
- Perform phone and in person screenings
- Schedule candidates to meet with department leaders
- Perform reference checks as needed
- Manage onboarding and new hire process
- Coordinate recruitment events
- Build and manage relationships with third-party service providers
- Proactively seek out news, available training, and industry updates as they relate to both recruiting/talent acquisition and the hospitality industry as a whole
- Partner with our international sponsors and agencies to enhance the student's experience; to include planning additional activities and education for both the students and the operational leaders, working with the recruiting team and the operational leaders to ensure compliance of offer letters, training plans, international regulations and preparation for state inspections
- Facilitate training programs for inclusion, the prevention of sexual harassment, new hire orientation and varies other trainings as needed
- Assist team members and leaders with HR related requests
- Notifies appropriate individuals fully and completely of any issues or unusual matters of significance
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Demonstrated computer/technological skill proficiency, specifically with MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), ATS, and Social Media Platforms. Experience with Workday and Paradox a plus
- Excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize effectively, and manage multiple tasks in an environment with competing demands
- Exceptional networking and strong connections for sourcing talent
- Working knowledge of interview techniques and applicant screening methods
- Deep understanding of employment laws and regulations
Education:
- Bachelors degree in a related field or comparable experience
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years experience as a recruiter and/or supervisor or manager in the hospitality industry preferred
