Head of IT Strategy and Value Delivery The Head of IT Strategy and Value Delivery is a transformative leadership role responsible for driving enterprise-wide strategic initiatives with a strong focus on Agile methodologies and value realization. This leader will champion the Agile mindset across the organization, ensuring that strategic programs and projects deliver measurable value aligned with long-term business goals. The role bridges executive vision with operational execution, fostering a culture of agility, innovation, and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Strategic Value Office (SVO) Leadership
- Align IT strategy with business priorities defining value measurement frameworks and ensuring IT investments deliver tangible outcomes. Continually refine the organization's strategic roadmap with an Agile lens.
- Lead the transformation of traditional PMO functions into an Agile Portfolio Management model. Establish governance structures that support Agile delivery and transparency. Establish metrics and feedback loops to measure Agile maturity and continuously improve delivery performance.
- Oversee the Agile Center of Excellence (ACoE) to embed Agile principles across IT and business units. The ACoE Leads the adoption and scaling of Agile frameworks (e.g., Scrum, SAFe, Kanban) to enhance delivery speed, adaptability, and product quality.
- Oversee the Value Delivery Office to ensure Agile-aligned project execution, integrating Agile models into governance and shifting from traditional project management.
IT Service Management (ITSM) & Business Processes
- Lead the evolution of ITSM practices to support Agile and DevOps environments.
- Apply ITIL best practices while fostering agility in incident, problem, and change management. Enhance service reliability and responsiveness through iterative improvements and user-centric design.
- Ensure seamless collaboration between IT and business functions (HR, Finance, Legal, etc.). Guide alignment of operational processes with Agile principles to reduce friction and increase responsiveness.
Team and Stakeholder Engagement
- Lead executive-level communication on transformation progress, risks, and outcomes, fostering collaboration with senior leaders, and communicating transformation progress effectively.
- Promote a culture of innovation, learning, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field (MBA or MS in IT Management preferred), or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of experience in IT strategy, Agile program management, or enterprise transformation leadership.
- Proven experience leading Agile transformationin a heavily regulated, compliance-driven enterprise.
- Strong track record of delivering measurable business value through Agile practices and cross-functional collaboration.
- Experience with strategic frameworks (e.g., OKRs, Balanced Scorecard) and Agile value realization methodologies.
- Strong change management and transformation leadership skills especially transitioning from traditional PMO to Agile Portfolio Management.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management capabilities, able to engage with executives and technical teams.
Preferred Skills
- Agile certifications (e.g., SAFe Program Consultant, Certified Scrum Professional, PMI-ACP).
- Expertise with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Expertise in Organizational Change Management for Agile adoption.
- Proficiency with tools such as Jira, ServiceNow, Power BI, and Agile planning platforms.
