Summary:

Works with GMR clinical operations, safety, and company leaders to consolidate, analyze, and report data from a variety of sources and systems for quality assessment, risk mitigation, performance improvement, and predictive purposes. Additionally, this individual will facilitate integration and evaluation of data central to clinical safety, provide statistical programming and analysis, provide project support, and serve as a departmental subject matter expert in the area of data acquisition and analysis.

Responsibilities:

  • Leads the development of processes for effective data analysis and reporting in the area(s) of clinical safety through the development of/or interface with various internal and external reporting and repository platforms.
  • Serves as an advisor to senior management on clinical safety data best practices, industry data trends, and the availability of upgrades or emerging data and analytical tools.
  • Assist with the design, development, evaluation, and iterative modifications of the clinical safety reporting platform technical infrastructure to meet or exceed the needs of internal and external customers.
  • Analyze clinical safety data to determine trends and priorities for interventions, process-improvements, and training.
  • foster cross departmental collaboration between safety, clinical informatics, clinical quality, clinical operations, clinical practices, and executive leadership to integrate data driven insights directly into operational strategy.
  • Assist with providing benchmarking with which to measure efficacy of process-improvement initiatives.
  • Works with GMR leadership to establish relevant predictive analytics and methods to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Monitors and recommends changes to event reporting and assignment classifications.
  • Performs specialized studies and fulfills special data requests as requested.
  • Supports GMR with clinical safety data acquisition and analysis during event investigations.
  • Maintain the integrity of data, data systems and projects requiring data extraction ensuring timely, relevant, accurate and consistent information use.
  • Participate in all phases of data management activities from entry to submission to internal and external database
  • Collaborate with the GMR Safety Data Manager to ensure synergy in how data is displayed & reported.
  • Understanding of both predictive and reactive clinical risk management
  • Ability to design and manipulate data in common analytical software platforms.
  • Data analysis, interpretation, and presentation of results

Qualifications:

Education & Industry Experience:

  • Three years' experience in healthcare, EMS, and/or air medical transport as a paramedic and/or registered nurse preferred.
  • Two (2) or more years of experience in health sciences, information systems, statistical analysis or mathematics required.
  • Experience in analytical problem solving (including statement of problem, identification and collection of pertinent data, analysis, recommendation, and evaluation) strongly preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in computer programming/science, statistical analysis or related area or a combination of education and experience is preferred.
