Purpose and Scope:

The Senior Manager of Data Infrastructure & Data Governance will be an essential business partner who leads the ingestion, organization, analysis, and reporting of Tolmar's commercial data sources. This role is primarily responsible for maintaining and evolving the Microsoft Azure data warehouse tables and data sources which support all Tolmar commercial brands. This role will manage Tolmar's data warehouse vendor which has primary responsibility for ETL processes which handle all Tolmar datasets.

This role will also be responsible for developing and maintaining standards of data governance for all Tolmar brands. This will involve ensuring all Tolmar business rules are applied consistently across brands, ensuring data tables have consistent structures across brands, and working with Tolmar's vendors and internal stakeholders to update data available in our data warehouse as data needs change.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities



  • Data Processing and Governance:


    • Builds processes and standards which determine how Tolmar data will be processed, modified, and integrated to be made available and useful to commercial stakeholders.
    • Works with commercial analytics stakeholders to translate business requirements into data and reporting requirements for Tolmar's data warehouse vendor to deliver
    • Ensures all business rules are clearly documented and implemented across Tolmar's data environment; identifies opportunities for consistency and improvement


  • Generating Analysis & Insights:

    • Works directly with brand leadership and brand analytics leads, to develop and refine data tables which support both executive and field level reporting
    • Support integrated analysis across multiple data sources including IQVIA DDD, IQVIA LAAD, Hub Data, CRM, and internal customer transaction data
    • Proactively conducts data investigations to identify potential gaps/issues, develops recommendations for potential business responses


  • Commercial Analytics Reporting Support:




    • Establishes and maintains all data models to support report development; this includes the development, deployment and maintenance of data tables which directly support Tableau dashboards and ad-hoc reporting
    • Develops and maintains automated quality control processes to ensure data being ingested for reporting is accurate and aligns with established business rules





Knowledge, Skills & Abilities



  • Deep expertise in SQL data handling and management, along with experience working in modern cloud-based data environments, preferably Azure
  • Ability to lead core analytics projects and initiatives, ensuring adherence to timelines
  • Experience with IQVIA LAAD, XPONENT, or other commercial pharmaceutical datasets preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple commercial vendors effectively, holding them accountable
  • Strong communication skills; able to explain data concepts to other stakeholders
  • Ability to work with imperfect data and manage ambiguity to bring clarity to business decisions
  • Ability to set data standards and strategy for an entire organization
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
  • Self-starter with the ability to build new capabilities and team over time

Education & Experience



  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • 6-10 years directly working in data infrastructure roles
  • Pharmaceutical industry experience preferred
  • Direct statistical analysis experience such as forecasting, data mining, and targeting preferred


Working Conditions



  • Office environment; requiring sitting and standing
  • Travel as required



Compensation

Tolmar compensation programs are focused on equitable, fair pay practices including market-based base pay and a strong benefits package. The final compensation offered may vary from the posted range based on the selected candidates qualifications and experience.

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between ($170,000 and $200,000 year); however, while salary ranges are effective from 1/1/25 through 12/31/25, fluctuations in the job market may necessitate adjustments to pay ranges during this period. Further, final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to geographical location, experience level, knowledge, skills and abilities.
