Job Summary: The Research Navigator provides individualized, ongoing guidance, education, and assistance with completing study requirements. Provides additional support, information, and resources to the participant based on their personal needs. Additional Department Summary: The University of Alabama (UA) West Alabama Cardiovascular Health (WACH) Program is designed to improve heart health in our rural communities. The program focuses on addressing social determinants of health and deploying education programming. Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or higher. Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and handle multiple patient needs simultaneously. Skills and Knowledge: Experience in large team settings. Excellent interpersonal communication skills (oral and written). Organized and detail oriented. Ability to work well with others. Basic proficiency with office software (Microsoft Office, Google Suite) and familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in healthcare, social work, or a related field. Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a healthcare, customer service, or social services role, particularly in a patient-focused environment.
