Planning Manager - Water Operations

As a Planning Manager, you will lead a dedicated team focused on developing purchase plans, manufacturing schedules, and global inventory strategies for a portfolio of water testing products and instruments. Your team is accountable for delivering critical KPIs including availability, inventory, and quality and you will support them through active coaching and development. You will drive change by improving tools, technologies and processes to achieve better outcomes and support IDEXX's continued growth. What you can expect in this role

  • You will balance competing objectives to meet aggressive availability and inventory targets.

  • You will manage the day-to-day operations of the assigned functional area, which includes direct and indirect responsibility for availability, supply and inventory worldwide.

  • You will meet KPI targets such as availability, delivery, scrap, freight spend, etc.

  • You and your team will use SAP to maintain and execute supply plans and manage global inventory.

  • You will serve as a liaison between operations, marketing, commercial, and finance organizations, fostering a highly-collaborative, cross-functional environment.

  • You will develop, grow and strengthen individuals' capabilities and stay current with industry best practices.

  • You will lead and engage in various work involving Sales & Operations Planning and Integrated Business Planning.

  • You will lead and participate in projects managed through PSRB, NPD, or PMT.

  • You will be responsible for the management of ISO documentation as it pertains to your organization.

What you will need to succeed

  • You have a Bachelors' degree in supply chain management, a technical discipline or a related field.

  • APICS/ASCM or ISM certification is preferred.

  • Ideally you will have managed a team in the past, including 5+ years of supply chain experience.

  • You possess strong communication skills and ability to influence across groups.

  • You have excellent analysis and data-driven decision-making skills.

  • Your strong knowledge of SAP/MRP systems, Microsoft Excel, and other technology platforms is essential.

  • You will be adept in identifying and implementing process improvements and integrating Lean methodologies.

  • The ability to communicate risk to a variety of stakeholders, recommend solutions and create alignment is imperative.

  • You will have the skills to lead and make decisions during times of ambiguity.

  • You are a continuous learner who embraces a growth mindset and challenges yourself routinely.
