"I can succeed as an Associate Digital Product Manager."

Capital Group's Global Design System (GDS) is the shared foundation for creating consistent, accessible, and scalable digital experiences across our products. As part of our ongoing investment in digital product and design infrastructure, we're growing the team that supports and evolves this system.

We're looking for an Associate Digital Product Manager to join the GDS team in a hands-on role that blends technology and strategy with creativity. You will be joining a team that highly values curiosity, experimentation, and iteration. You'll collaborate with product managers, content authors, engineers, designers, and researchers in shaping our visual and interaction patterns, while providing support for the tools and components that our team manages. This is an ideal opportunity for someone early in their product management career.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Product Manager in translating user feedback to create polished, high-impact components that balance business priorities, technical feasibility, and brand expression.
  • Actively participate in agile product development (grooming, standups, sprint planning)
  • Drive internal user engagement by helping facilitate educational efforts and building relationships across functions.
  • Deliver production-ready UI assets or specs while collaborating with our developers and QA team to ensure consistency and excellence across desktop and mobile screens.
  • Contribute production-ready UI components for our shared Figma libraries.
  • Maintain existing library components while continually auditing the work to find improvement opportunities.
  • Advocate inclusive design principles by understanding biases, user needs, and pain points.
  • Contribute to product requirements with documentation or prototypes.
  • Support internal teams communications, from release notes to executive-facing summaries.

"I am the person Capital Group is looking for."

  • You will have strong Figma UI skills, with a solid understanding of how components, variables, layer modes and auto-layout work.
  • You possess sharp attention to detail with an eye for consistency.
  • You have a good understanding of component-based design principles and systems thinking.
  • You have a good understanding of accessibility guidelines (WCAG) and why inclusive product design matters.
  • You are able to clearly communicate decisions and iterate on feedback.
  • You have digital acumen, with an understanding of responsible design principles.
  • You have visual and interaction design skills, alongside prototyping experience
  • You have a strong curiosity about product management and a willingness to grow in both design and product practices.
Southern California Base Salary Range: $96,120-$153,792

In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital's annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
