Job Description
Essential Functions Outreach 40%
- Strategically coordinate visitor programs including Open Houses/Virtual Information Sessions.
- Research and maintain a network of recruitment contacts at social work-related organizations and universities.
- Strategically coordinate coverage of fairs, conferences, etc. with co-Assistant Director and in consultation with the Senior Associate Director.
- Coordinate recruitment staff training in consultation with Senior Associate and Associate Dean; represent SSW at designated events.
- Plan and coordinate approximately 4-6 weeks of travel annually. Coordinate advertising as appropriate including securing promotional contact lists (mail/email) .
- Manage communication plan (mailing, electronic and social media) according to recruitment plans.
- Assist in marketing plan in collaboration with the Senior Associate Director and Associate Dean.
Enrollment 40%
- Manage application processes for prospective students with specific responsibility to international and advanced standing applicants.
- Coordinate logistics and manage application processes for all M.S.W. and Ph.D. deferral students while initiating and maintaining effective communication during the time of deferral.
- Provide ongoing stewardship for prospective students and applicants through phone, Zoom, correspondence, and leading campus tours.
- Strategically coordinate yield programs including the Networking Event for Students of Color and assist in the management of Sneak Peek, Link Up Day, and Dean's Welcome Celebration, etc.
- Participate in other yield maneuvers involving outreach, attendee support, and event management.
- Serve as Volunteer Coordinator by managing alum and current student volunteers.
- Oversee and coordinate personalized linkages between prospective students and SSW alum and current students as requested.
- Coordinate compensation for student and alum volunteers.
Other Functions Administrative 20%
- Manage admission social media pages and admission web pages in support of Admission.
- Assist in overseeing day-to-day operations and work-flow of admission procedures.
- Recruit, hire, train and supervise student hires.
- Assist in supervision and training of temporary workers.
- Manage and coordinate reports for the controller's office/fiscal affairs for various fees/payments received from Admission.
- Keep abreast of pertinent developments at the SSW, in higher education, and in the field of professional admission work.
- Collaborate with other administrators of the College where necessary, especially Student Financial Services; the Field Education Office; and the SSW Alum Office.
- Perform related duties as required.

- Bachelor's degree and two years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience or an equivalent combination of education/experience.
- Experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
Skills
- Ability to effectively and efficiently develop and execute several key projects simultaneously.
- Must be able to work independently, have strong organizational and planning skills, excellent writing and oral communication skills, strong analytical and computer expertise including familiarity with MS Office suite.
- Must possess the ability to articulate the values of a graduate social work program to prospective students and community/agency and to interact with people of diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to use sound judgment, creativity, and vision.
- Must be able and willing to travel.
