Job Title: Accounting Manager Location: Charlotte, NC (On-site) Overview: We're seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to oversee daily accounting operations and lead a small team. This hands-on role is responsible for managing the monthly close process, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and collaborating across departments to drive financial performance. Key Responsibilities: Supervise and support the general accounting team, including hiring, training, and performance management Oversee monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting Review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements; address inquiries from internal stakeholders Analyze variances between actual results and budgets/forecasts; communicate key findings to leadership Collaborate with sales, operations, and other departments to inform planning and budgeting Lead initiatives to improve processes, reporting accuracy, and financial analysis capabilities Support audits and prepare ad hoc reports as needed Qualifications: 4+ years of accounting experience, including 2+ years in a leadership role Proficiency in financial systems and strong Excel skills Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities Excellent verbal and written communication skills Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and ability to apply accounting standards to complex transactions CPA or MBA preferred Experience with cloud-based ERP systems is a plus
