Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory has multiple openings for an Electronics Engineering Associate in Berkeley, CA. What You Will Do: Provide technical support under general supervision and consultation with scientists and engineers. Provide moderately complex and varied application of sophisticated technological skills, scientific principles, mathematics, project management and technical support for the Beamlines and Accelerator section of the Advanced Light Source Electrical Engineering Group. Responsible for providing electronic design, documentation, procurement, fabrication/installation instruction, and testing of ALS electronic and electrical systems. Providing general supervised support for the electronic design, documentation, procurement, fabrication and installation instruction, testing of ALS RF Systems. Benefits: This full salary range of this position is between $109,616 to $139,644 per year depending upon candidates' full skills, knowledge, and abilities, including education, certifications, and years of experience. What is Required: Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Technology or related field and 4 years of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. Position requires: 1. Electronics theory, electro-mechanical, scientific principles, and mathematics. 2. Complex test equipment including digital and analog multimeters, oscilloscopes, power meter, signal generator, spectrum analyzer, function generators, pulse generators and delay generators. 3. Diagnostic routines and procedures and appropriate hand, and power tools of the trade. 4. Interpreting complex schematics, and assembly, calibration, maintenance, and operating manuals. 5.
