Overview

Our Grand Rapids, MI office is looking for a Civil Engineer - Bridge Design Engineer with at least 2 years of related experience


What We're Looking For

  • Ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of related experience


  • At minimum aBS in Civil or Structural Engineeringfrom an ABET accredited college or university

    • Home - ABET


  • Michigan PE license preferred but not required
  • MDOT experience is preferred but not required
  • To qualify, you should be a collaborative, positive, high-energy person excited about the challenge of joining a growing team


What You'll Do



  • Reviews and check standard structural design calculations.
  • Perform rating and design tasks.
  • Perform limitedstructural analysis and design of standard bridge componentsusing general analysis software, client-specific software and in-house programs under direct guidance from Project Managers and senior-level engineers.
  • Develop preliminary details using CAD software, and provide information to CAD technicians for development of contract plans directly related to design work
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned, including occasional field service assignments.
  • Knowledge of Microstations and Bentley OpenBridge Modeler.
  • Ability to work in a team environment onbridge related projects.
  • Basic knowledge of computer assisted drafting and design.
  • Ability to use standard engineering analysis software.
  • Good oral and written communications skills, with a fluency in English.
