  • Framatome LSS Black Belt certification preferred
  • Knowledge and understanding of nuclear power plant systems
  • Knowledge and understanding of digital I&C systems
  • Under minimum supervision, perform tasks having varied levels of complexity
  • Demonstrated soft skills including team management, integration, and effective implementation of applicable functions from various support organizations, development of a team environment, and demonstration of a productive customer focused attitude
  • Ability to organize, coordinate across departments, and prioritize multiple assignments to reach team objectives
  • I&C Hardware and/or Software Design experience
  • Management and leadership experience to manage multiple tasks and projects through subordinates

Your Opportunity

This full-time role is about making an impact on people's lives and the future of clean energy. You will leverage your skills and experience to be part of an innovative team and make a difference for our customers. As a I&C Licensing Manager in Mansfield, MA (remote work will also be considered), you will be part of the proven team in the ICPU I&C Projects N.A Business Line in the Instrumentation & Control Business Unit. Your work will include:



  • NRC licensing support and submittal preparation
  • Cross-collaboration with other Framatome I&C organizations, as well as other engineering organizations across Framatome as a whole, both locally and globally
  • Develop team knowledge and understanding of 10CFR50.90, 10 CFR50.59, and 10 CFR 21. and US regulations for design and operation of Digital I&C systems
  • Develop knowledge of international regulations for design and manufacture of Digital I&C systems in other countries (e.g., HAF-604 for Design and Manufacture Digital I&C systems (Tricon)for Chinese Nuclear Power Plants)
  • Provide guidance and support for Topical Report preparation and USNRC approval of I&C designs from Framatome outside the USA for potential sale in the USA (e.g., TXS from Framatome-Germany)
  • Provide support for Export Control of I&C material/information per company policy, manual and procedures (e.g., 10CFR 810with DOE, 10CR 110 with NRC, etc.)
  • Generation of License Amendment Requests (LARs) per 10CFR50.90, submittal to the NRC, defense of the submittal, and successful completion
  • Develop 50.59 screening and evaluation packages for I&C projects
  • Coordinate and facilitate discussion and concurrence regarding licensing approach, strategy, and plan for I&C projects as needed
  • Facilitate markup of operational license, technical specifications, and FSAR revisions for I&C projects as needed
  • Coordinate the development of NRC pre-submittal. submittal and post-submittal meetings
  • Coordinate the development of responses to NRC Requests for Additional Information (RAIs) regarding information provided in NRC submittals or meetings
  • Development and review of regulatory scoping studies
  • Anticipate and address regulatory challenges with ongoing projects
  • Work directly with Licensing and Regulatory Affairs group when interfacing or submitting information to the NRC
  • Represent Framatome in various industry groups (NEI, EPRI, etc.) and meetings for I&C issues
  • Establish a licensing team for I&C
  • Mentor junior employees on Licensing and I&C issues

Your Total Rewards Package

The range of base salary for the position is between $143,000 - $194,000, and may also include annual incentives, performance bonuses and benefits. Please note that the base salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
