YOU

As an Automation operator, you will be responsible for operating and programming of our product line and inspect unfinished products to fulfill customer orders

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

Follow all safety rules and quality standards. Maintain and operate Amada Automation, select and set up lenses based on material type and thickness, load programs and set machine parameters to ensure optimal performance of the equipment. Set up and modify MDI settings as required for different types of tooling in the Turrets. Work in a fast-paced environment with fast-changing priorities. Work with automated storage system (75%)

Review work orders and corresponding blueprints to verify programs, dimensions and tolerances. Ability to read a tape measure down to 1/32" of an inch and the ability to read and understand digital calipers. Capable of using an angle grinder to prep material and fix mistakes. Upkeep your tools and equipment along with basic maintenance. (25%)

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Must be able to modify cutting parameters as required.
  • Must be able to trouble shoot different alarms or messages.
  • Must be able to perform daily operator related maintenance procedures like clean laser lens cover, register nozzles, and maintenance on the top and bottom dies, etc
  • Must work with and support programmers to set up jobs.
  • Must be able to maintain accurate material count and type.
  • Must be able to work overtime as needed, daily and weekends.
  • Must be able to use various equipment such as calipers, micrometers and tape measure.
  • Must be sit down forklift certified.
  • Load/unload material into the CS automated line.
  • 3-5 years (+) related experience and /or training in a manufacturing environment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, see, talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit. This role operates large equipment while standing for approximately 8-12 hours, regularly twisting and bending in a repetitive motion. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may frequently lift, carry, push and pull materials and objects weighing up to 50 pounds, and heavier weights with proper equipment.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The job may risk exposure to heat and/or cold, loud noise levels, vibration, and moving mechanical parts.

TRAVEL

This job does not require travel.

WORK STATUS & LOCATION

This full-time, non-exempt, Union position is located in Stockton, CA. It is not eligible for remote work.

RELOCATION

Relocation is not available for this position.

Pay

$18.00 / hour
