What this job involves

The Furniture Project Manager (FPM) Providing expertise in operational planning, furniture projects, workplace design and daily furniture requests within the Client's real estate portfolio. The FPM will set up project files, folders, and templates at the start of each project, providing best practices; Manage the tracker throughout each project and help oversee the partnership between our 3rd party furniture dealer/vendor and JLL's Interior Design Team and Relocation Project Managers. They will lead project specific reporting to the client all while maintaining records in a manner that protects the client and JLL confidentiality. Additionally, they will manage the tracking of project hours, spend and vendor activities relative to assignment and complete JLL internal and client project close-out. They will lead all small to medium furniture projects and re-configurations and support complex project activity within their dedicated region/zone. They will be the subject matter expert for furniture activity within their region/zone. They will be accountable for the schedule and budget for furniture activity within their region/zone related to the projects they oversee. They will help lead lessons learned and continuous improvements for their region/zone.

What is your day to day?

  • Plan and successfully manage small to medium sized furniture projects and furniture related activity
  • Interfaces with designers and Client to develop options, finalize project concepts and prepare final documents for client approval
  • Develop and implement furniture project plan, schedule, and budget through collaboration with the facility, project and vendor managers and adhere to it
  • Prepare/update project status reports,review work orders and ensure timely completion, update tracking reports and maintain files for due diligence and financials.
  • Plan, schedule and implement furniture relocations, providing the main client contact with scheduled dates, updates and pictures
  • Communicate actively during meetings and other project related speaking situations with a focus on delivering the project on-time, on budget and meeting the clients' expectations
  • Serves as the primary JLL contact for furniture relocation requests and collaborates with FPM Coordinator and Sr. FPM to ensure client needs are met

Required Qualifications:

  • 3 - 5 years of facility, project, large furniture activity or construction related experience in a Corporate Real Estate environment
  • Background in project management, construction management, architecture or project strategy planning is desirable
  • Experience managing electrical and data activity as it relates to furniture or commercial spaces
  • Experience in Project Management required
  • Advanced ability to coordinate colleagues, vendors, partners in a fast paced environment
  • Experience in a CMMS technology with a move management module and/or client facilities management system
  • Proficient in Autocad

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of construction or commercial real estate industry
  • Enhanced ability to utilizeGoogle Suite technologies
  • Familiarity with architectural drawings and furniture and space planning concepts
  • Experience with multiple manufacturers' furniture systems preferred
  • Background in the furniture industry is highly desirable
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to interact with executive level external and internal clients
  • Highly organized with strong analytical skills

Estimated compensation for this position:

94,300.00 - 124,100.00 USD per year

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
