JOB MISSION:

New Balance is looking for a Sports Marketing Associate who would like to impact a growing category. The New Balance brand is going through incredible transformation, investing in Athletes within American Football. This individual will be responsible for managing day-to-day tactical tasks to successfully utilize sports marketing assets within and outside of the American football category.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Work closely with internal marketing and product teams on athlete activities, including commercial shoots, social posts, footwear management, events, product designs, key product launches and athlete stories

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure accurate and timely delivery of products to athletes and partners

  • Act as liaison when an athlete is present, in all NB-related activities

  • Create databases for allotments, order numbers, sizes, and all assets for all athletes, and relevant partners

  • Responsible for ordering and forecasting all athlete product and seeding kits; ensuring accurate & complete delivery

  • Plan and calendarize contractual obligations against charitable/non-charitable initiatives for athletes

  • Internal and external Reporting and contract management

  • Ability to multi-task and find solutions in high-pressure situations

  • Keep the American Football Sports Marketing Lead informed of all communications with athletes, agents, events, and other NB stakeholders

  • Manage various special projects as directed by American Football Sports Marketing Lead

  • 10-20% domestic travel required

REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS:

  • 3+ years of progressive marketing and event experience

  • Direct experience within the sports industry a huge plus

  • Proven history of executing highly complex logistical tasks in a timely and efficient manner

  • Experience working with agencies and external partners

  • Highly motivated, self-starter with a sense of urgency

  • Highly skilled in Microsoft suite programs

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

  • A high-level understanding of the sport and business of football and the NFL

  • Previous event activation/planning experience preferred

  • Experience working with celebrities or professional athletes is preferred but not required

  • Ability to work weekends and evenings when required

Flexible Work Schedule

Our North American hybrid model encourages rich in-person experiences, showcasing our commitment to teamwork and connection, while maintaining flexibility for associates. New Balance Associates currently work in office three days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday). Our offices are fully open, and amenities are available across our North American office locations. To continue our focus on hybrid work we have introduced "Work from Anywhere" (WFA) for four weeks per calendar year.
