As the Manager, Social Impact, you will be trusted to manage Alcon's U.S.-based charitable donation initiatives, with a focus on the day-to-day operations of the Alcon Cares product and equipment donation programs. This includes coordinating patient assistance efforts, supporting nonprofit medical missions, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure smooth, compliant, and effective program execution. You will also partner with and support additional Alcon Social Impact program teams where needed: The Alcon Foundation, Associate Giving, the Alcon Children's Vision Program. In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Oversee the intake, vetting, fulfillment, and tracking of U.S.-based product and equipment donation requests from eligible nonprofit organizations.
  • Support patient assistance initiatives, ensuring proper screening and communication with customers and healthcare providers.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Social Impact to ensure programs operate efficiently and within established guidelines.
  • Gather program metrics and success stories (impact reports) to showcase the impact of Alcon's social impact efforts internally and externally.
  • Manage logistics and documentation with internal functions such as Legal, Compliance, Quality, Supply Chain, and SAP ordering systems.
  • Lead internal reporting, budget tracking, and regulatory compliance for Alcon Cares donations.
  • Lead and mentor team of Social Impact professionals to achieve organizational goals, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +13 yrs; Assoc.+9 yrs; M.S.+2 yrs; PhD+0 yrs)
  • The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English
  • 5 Years of Relevant Experience
  • Experience in nonprofit management, public health, social impact, or a related field
  • Experience working with third-party grantmaking and giving platforms (e.g., Benevity, Blackbaud, CyberGrants, Salesforce) to manage donation workflows, impact reporting, and nonprofit vetting.
  • Strong program management and organizational skills, with the ability to track multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, both internally and externally.
  • Familiarity with product donation programs, patient assistance workflows, or healthcare nonprofit operations preferred.
  • The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English
