Responsible for collecting and processing blood specimens from patients for laboratory testing on into computer. Education -High School Diploma or Equivalent required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - Knowledge of various techniques in collecting specimens. - Familiarity with HIPAA and OSHA Regularities and an ability to maintain absolute discretion over highly sensitive patient information. - Talking to others to convey information effectively. - Demonstrates proficiency of proper collection methods and proper processing of all specimens. - Superior customer service skills, clear communications skills, and ability to show empathy and respect for patients' privacy and autonomy. - Knowledge and practice of proper aseptic techniques necessary to prevent injury to self and patients.
