What you will do

You will be responsible for developing automated tools/templates to improve the efficiency and quality of plant operations in a timely manner. You will perform in-depth analysis of problem statements and provide solutions through an automated approach. You will identify areas of improvement with engineering, quality, and operations leadership.

How you will do it

  • Work with Engineering team members from various domains to understand the automation requirements.

  • Ensure the user-friendly graphics of the generated tools/templates.

  • Prepare logs for each tool for future correction and development purposes.

  • Prepare standard operating procedures for all developed reports.

  • Prepare guidelines for the usage of the developed tool.

  • Get prompt feedback from users and resolve all reported bugs.

  • Identify all manual efforts and automate them to improve productivity.

  • Work on Power BI to create visually impactful dashboards and reports.

  • Design Power Automate workflows to extract Power BI data to shared locations and automate email notifications.

  • Use VBA scripting to schedule tasks and automate repetitive processes efficiently.

  • Develop solutions for integrating data across MS Excel, SharePoint, and other platforms.

  • Provide training sessions for end-users to maximize tool usability.

  • Optimize Power Query processes for faster execution times and enhanced tool performance.

  • Explore opportunities for integrating AI-based solutions like ChatGPT API (or similar technologies) for advanced data analysis within Excel environments.

  • Develop tools and provide training for team members

  • Opportunity to leverage data science knowledge in solving issues

  • Support engineering team members to complete their continuous improvement ideas in case automation is needed

  • Collaborate with automation community/experts/forums to get the solution for complex situations without disclosing organizational confidential data

What we look for

Required

  • Bachelor's / Master's degree in Computer Science

  • Min 3+ years of experience in Power BI tool development

  • Experience in paginated reports (Report Builder)

  • Proficiency in SQL queries, report generation, and Power Query

  • Should be able to handle large data/datasets

  • Excellent skills in MS Excel, VBA development, MS PowerPoint, and SharePoint
