Nutritional Services Cook Full Time 6:30 a - 3 p Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday Springwoods Behavioral Health is an affiliated 80-bed acute care behavioral health facility located in Northwest Arkansas and has been providing quality health care to the residents Northwest Arkansas since 2009. The hospital provides 24-hour acute care behavioral health services. Springwoods Behavioral Health is seeking a cook for the nutritional services department. The cook is responsible for the preparation and serving of food to patients, staff and visitors while maintaining a clean and safe environment in the food service area. Interpersonal Relations: As a representative of Springwoods Behavioral Health and Universal Health Services, Inc, all comments, attitudes, actions, and behaviors have a direct affect on the hospital's image and perceptions of quality service. Interaction with patients, physicians, guests, visitors, co-workers, supervisors, vendors, etc. must be in a manner that is friendly, supportive, courteous, respectful, cooperative, and professional. This behavior should promote an atmosphere of teamwork, which is congruent with hospital standards and guidelines to promote positive relations. The applicant should posess the ability to follow menus and instruct food service workers, ensure the sanitation of the department and the ability to supervise subordinate staff to achieve effective delivery of services. Springwoods Behavioral Health Careers Qualifications Education: High school diploma or GED. Experience: One year of experience in cooking duties at a hospital, healthcare facility or institutional setting. Must have the ability to perform simple mathematical calculations related to measurement and proportioning of foods.
