Mental Health Technician Coordinator

Inova Center for Personal Health is looking for a dedicated Mental Health Technician Coordinator to join the team. This role will be full-time day 4-10's Sunday - Wednesday (start time vary 7am, 9am, or 10am).

Mental Health Technician Coordinator Job Responsibilities:

• Provides administrative support by answering phones, transcribing orders and maintaining charts.
• Assists in the delivery of direct patient care in a safe, therapeutic and holistic manner.
• Provides basic triage of patients, registers patients, takes vital signs and provides information on status.
• Communicates abnormal values and clinical changes to the appropriate staff member within 15 minutes.
• Answers and screens telephone calls while providing appropriate information or referring to other staff members.
• Registers patients for emergency and outpatient services while ensuring complete and accurate information is obtained.
• Schedules appointments in automated scheduling system. Makes copies, sends/receives faxes and opens/distributes mail.
• Reinforces transition/discharge teaching and home care skills.

Additional Requirements:

• Work schedule: 4-10's Sunday - Wednesday (start time vary 7am, 9am, or 10am).
  This position requires rotation shifts working at Inova Fairfax main Hospital also.
